 About Bishop Jimmy Waddell

When you meet Bishop Jimmy Waddell, you instantaneously recognize the mark of an exceptional leader.  His uncompromising attributes of leadership exemplify God's anointing to lead the body of Christ into the fullness of God's purpose for their lives.  Bishop Waddell possesses an innovative and persuasive spirit that challenges and motivates believers to relentlessly pursue their dreams and goals.

Bishop Waddell, became acutely aware of a special calling on his life at the young age of eight (8) and believed that God had purposed him for something great, but what?  So at the age of seventeen (17), he began his journey to destiny and joined the military.  Little did Bishop Waddell know that he was approaching the cross roads in his life and was about to meet up with destiny.  It was during this time that God began to visit him in dreams and visions showing him his future.

In 1976, Bishop Waddell returned home still in search of his destiny, but God's presence  becoming more prevalent in his life began leading him into a direction different from his own plans and desires.

One Wednesday night in May 1982, Bishop Waddell, under the conviction of the Holy Spirit repented and surrendered his life to the Lord.  Under the leadership of his pastor, Elder Wilbur Sloan, he quickly excelled in the word of God.  His unquenchable hunger for the knowledge of God's Word propelled him into the area of teaching and ministering and be became the youngest ordained Elder in their association.

In 1991, Bishop Waddell accepted his calling to pastor and founded The Emmanuel Brewton Temple Church.  In 1999, the church name was officially changed to The Harvest House Ministries.  The church has prospered greatly under the anointed leadership of Bishop Waddell and have evolved into a non-denominational multi-racial and multi-talented ministry that includes ministries that promote leadership, fellowship and family morals and values.

In October 2008, Bishop Waddell, after much prayer and counseling, accepted his call to the office of Bishopric.  Bishop Waddell has a compassionate heart for Pastors and his desire is to assist them in understanding and victoriously meeting the challenges of Ministry.  His belief is "strong leadership builds strong ministries."

Bishop Waddell is happily married to the former Carolyn Gladden of Winnsboro, South Carolina and they share the blessings of three children; Christian, Janessa and Jocelyn; along with their two grandchildren Cemajai and Amayah.

Bishop Jimmy Waddell ministers with the spirit of boldness and enthusiasm and is committed to using his gift for the advancement of the kingdom of God.  His ministry challenges believers to live by faith knowing all things are possible with God.
